Symptom: After my computer wakes from ecomode a hardware device doesn't restart or I have lost Internet connectivity

Remedy:

Some Devices on your computer may not be set up with the correct power management options, in order to set these correctly a few minor adjustments may be required.

Please Note: This is a guide for a network card, your own device may be slightly different!

1. Computer devices such as your Modem, Network card and Printer etc need to be adjusted to the correct settings for when the computer is put into eco mode.

Go to the Control Panel then click on System
 
 

Then select the Hardware tab, then Device Manager.

Now Right Click on the device in question and select "Properties"

Then go to the Power Management tab and try checking the tick box that says "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".
 

 

Now test the ecobutton™ to see if this cures the issue.

2. The device in question may have an old device driver that is out of date.

Use the "Update Driver" button to install the latest version and test to see if this cures the issue.
