Using Your ecobutton™ |

1. Whenever you take a break from your computer and wish to use the ecobutton™ ecomode, simply press the ecobutton™ and your PC will power down. (For further information about the type of power saving modes on your PC and the mode that ecobutton™ activates see our FAQs section here) |

2. To reactivate your computer simply press any key on the keyboard. In the case of some laptops you may need to briefly press the power button to resume from ecomode. |

NB: Some computers running Windows XP may require you to activate your keyboard to allow it to wake your PC. Please see our Troubleshooting section for help with this |

3. When your PC reactivates from ecomode you will be able to carry on working exactly where you left off.
If you have single or multi user set up on your PC your usual entry screen will appear like the one below. If you use a password you will be asked for it in the normal way (this is a useful security feature of ecobutton™ as it ensures that your system is secure whilst in ecomode and you are away from your desk) |

4. Just before you commence work an ecobutton™ information screen appears like the one below, keeping you informed about your power and money savings to date. Simply press any key on your keyboard to close this screen. Click image below to enlarge. |
